My Review of the Book

I give this book a three star rating because it was very boring at some points but then in the middle it got interesting. I would not recommend this author to people who like a good beginning. This is a very outstanding author but I think Thomas Edison had a very modern life nothing to exiting except a couple of parts.

Obsticals and Risks

When I was dating a beautiful young lady she was murdered by a drunken Buffalo Man. She was coming home from the store and a man with an axe walked up to her and started to swing it at her. So she ran, but he was fast. He got to her and killed her with it. When the man was on trial his lawyer was great. He was about to get away but instead the jury ruled him guilty. I was angry at him but relived that he was off the streets. Also in 1884 my first wife died. No one knows how but she did. I was devastated.

My Outstanding Character Traits

Savior- When I was fifteen I saved a little boy about to die by being hit by a train. He was about to be hit by it, but then I ran in front of the train and got the boy in my arms and ran out of the way.

Intelligent- I made so many inventions I forgot how many I made. I loved building and inventions were the right thing for me.
Wise-I made more inventions as I grew older. I made proboly triple the inventions when I was older than when I was younger.

Brave-When I made the light bulb I had to get electrocuted for the electricity. I had to fly a kite in the air with a key tied to it. When the lightning hit it went into me.

Focused-I almost never but down my invention till it was done. I always finished what I started. There is not one invention I never started that I didn't finish.

My Brilliant Effects on the World

As you all know, I was the one who invented the light bulb. There were a lot of bumps along the way, but I managed to get through them. Today we still use the bulb.
Well I don't know about you, but I think the telegram was probably in the top five of my best inventions. It didn't sell well because it was expensive, but it was very handy. It helped us win a couple of wars and was used by the President. My favorite invention was the Electric Pen because I didn't like writing. It speeds up your writing ability a lot. As the title says, my invention had brilliant effects.

My Background

I was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. I liked it there because there were a lot of trains. I loved trains. I know how they worked inside and out. I got my first job on the railroad when I was twelve. I loved my job so much that if I missed a day of work, I would regret it. One reason I love trains is because my dad worked in the Grand Trunk Railroad which really inspired me to learn about trains and engineering.
